The idea of a watch cell phone is nothing new and indeed has been envisioned by tech-geeks for decades. Issues aplenty come up whenever a company explores the idea of the cell phone watch.
Generally the problems circle around how to make a quality phone and a quality watch without the price being too high. Size is also a huge area of concern for the watch phone. Anything too big quickly loses its appeal and practicality. The Watch MQ008 is a hot item now.
The mobile market seems to have solved these problems with style and panache. The Watch Phone looks beautiful with its sleek simple style and the size is appropriate for both form and function. Tempered glass similar to the iPhone lends the Watch Phone a beautiful face as its touch-screen. The editors of CNET didn’t get to touch the screen at CES but reported the transitions between screens seemed flawless and the small screen, measuring 1.43 inches diagonally, didn’t appear to hamper ease of use.

(ArticlesBase SC #2240126)
Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – Watch W968 Phone Bring You a Big Surprise-myluxphone
First there was the watch, then the watch phone and now it’s time for the watch phone digital camera. Yeah, you head that right: someone managed to put a digital camera into a Watch W968 phone. Don’t expect much touch, as it only has 1.3 megapixels, but that’s enough to copy a few documents from a top secret dossier, if your job is more like the James Bond type.
The other day we looked at the Watch A808, considered by many to be one of the first serious entrants in the watch phone market. The design aesthetic of the LG rivals anything we’ve seen in comic books or science fiction movies, but time will tell how practical it really is.
If you’re dipping a toe in the watch phone market you may want to look further east. A company in China offers a watch phone priced at less than $170USD, with a list of functionality that may make it worthwhile to consider.
Usually, mobile phones have built-in clocks but would you say it’s unusual if a particular wristwatch has a built-in phone? That is how the W968 Watch phone works, with its 1.3-inch touchscreen display integrating a 1.3 megapixel camera with audio/video player, FM radio, GPRS and Bluetooth support. This fancy handset provides an instant call access without holding your phone with your hand, but a touch atop of your wrist!

Check out the tiniest, most play with-able, and pocket-able phone ever; the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini! This cute little Android powered device sports a very bright 2.55inch QVGA touch screen and utilises a minimized version of there successful TimeScape overlay, the Japanese-Swedish tag team have really put there heads together to produce the smallest Android Smartphone ever made. The X10 Mini has a built-in digital camera, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm jack and a FM radio tuner.
The phones miniature dimensions are 83 x 60 x 16mm and it only weighs 88g, despite these tiny measurements Sony Ericsson have managed to pack in tons of technology. The phone comes in loads of funky colours, proving that Sony Ericsson have focused this phone on there younger buyers, the screen boasts an accelerometer which allows you to use the X10 Mini in landscape mode, this is handy for messaging and web browsing as both can be a little cramped on the small screen, Sony Ericsson has also given there X10 Mini a four-corner home screen where you can customize which icons you want in each corner of the screen, you can make shortcuts to the web browser, messaging or even your social networks.
A portion of Sony Ericsson’s TimeScape user interface was all that was needed for this adorable little handset; it integrates your social networks and other communications into one easy to access overview; status updates, tweets, e-mails, messages and calls are all logged and placed in sequential order, this means you only need one application to check out all of your communications with contacts. The intuitive overlay also lets you multi task with out any major effect to the phones general performance, you can browse the web while messaging friends or play games while listening to your favourite radio station.
The WebKit browser has been slightly altered to fit on the X10 Mini, it supports standard controls for pan and zoom functions and page bookmarking; there is also support for basic graphics and video. The Xperia X10 Mini is fully integrated with the ever popular YouTube; a dedicated application is in place for you to view and upload videos, the client works quite well and despite the mini screen size videos play very nicely thanks to the QVGA resolution. The phones surprising online functionality wouldn’t be possible if it wasn’t for the high speed Wi Fi and turbo 3G network connections, they both supply the X10 Mini with fast reliable connectivity.
The Android operating system loads the X10 Mini with Google applications, including YouTube, Google Talk provides you with Instant Messaging and Gmail is on of many email providers you use in the built-in e-mail client, Google have also supplied the X10 Mini with navigational support in the form of Google Maps, it works best when on collaboration with the A-GPS and the phone is also equipped with turn-by-turn navigation with the WisePilot feature. The Android Market is by far the best Google addition to the phone; you have full access to loads and loads of downloadable apps, themes, games and wallpapers to completely personalize your own X10 Mini experience.
As with every phone these days the X10 Mini is equipped with a 5 mega pixel camera which will handle both your day-to-day snaps and your mini film making, it has flash, auto focus and geo-tagging. Sony Ericsson have thrown in a very good music player and its supported by an expandable memory, the microSD slot can take a maximum of 16GB, giving you tons of storage space for all of your videos, photos and songs. Sony Ericsson have also made the PlayNow Arena available so you can download music direct to your music player, you can also download games from here.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini will be one of the most appealing devices on the market; this is mainly down to its tiny size and colour variety but its Smartphone functionality will play its part too. The phone has a surprisingly high performance, so do we call it the “Giant Killer” or is it punching above its weight.

The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini will charm the pants off anyone who looks at it!
Overall the Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is an adorable little kitten that gives you full Smartphone functionality with top draw messaging and entertainment trimmings, the TimeScape feature translates well onto the smaller handset and the phones general appearance is appealing and enchanting, there are heaps of add-ons for personalization not to mention the inter-changeable casing. The X10 Mini will charm the pants off anyone who looks at it, my general feeling is that it will appeal to young people.

The first Android Smartphone from the world’s 4th largest mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson has not lost its steam even after getting this late and with other Android phones hitting the markets lately. Nokia 6260 Slide Mobile Phone Review – The No-Nonsense Mid-Range With Full Features
Hot on the heels of the Nokia 6600 comes the Nokia 6260 Slider. This is a very up-market little phone with similar features to the Nokia N95.
The Nokia look is very evident – typical black, trimmed with silver and blue highlighted number pad – a no-nonsense easy to use handset.
The 6260 Slide will work on both 2G and 3G networks – on the standard four GSM 850/ 900 / 1800 / 1900 and on HSDPA 900 / 1900 and 2100.
Released on April 2009, this compact handset weighs in at a mere 114g, and measures a shade under 100 x 47 x 16mm. With a TFT 16M colour display and downloadable themes, it is sure to please the pickiest when it comes to front screen appearance. The screen is bright enough to be read in daylight.
The phonebook will store up to 2000 contacts, including photocall, and will record up to 30 dialled, 30 received and 30 missed calls, thanks to it’s adequate 200MB internal memory. Additional memory can be slotted in – up to 8GB in total, by using the MicroSD (TransFlash) card slot.
Data handling takes place by means of class 10 GPRS (32-48 KBPS) and Edge at 236.8 kbps, and the phone supports HSCSD. On 3G HSDPA, it works at 10.2 Mbps, and HSUPA at 2 Mbps. WLAN is by means of WiFi 802.11 b/g. It also has Bluetooth and USB, although not an infra-red port.
Nokia’s open source browser is installed in the phone – the Series 40 6th Edition – giving full look and feel web browsing. Unlike the Apple 3GS, the Nokia 6260 Slide comes complete with Flash Lite 3.0, allowing you to be deluged by mobile ads and other flash web content. Location based applications can also be developed, thanks to the Java-based location application programming interface.
The Nokia 6260 Slide has as its primary camera a 5 megapixel unit, photos are a max of 2592 x 1944 pixels, and with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, and LED flash, quality pictures are (almost) assured. The video works as VGA at 15fps and there is a secondary VGA videocall camera.
Other features including SMS, MMS and Email messaging services, a WAP 2.0/xHTML and HTML browser, FM Radio with RDS and (MIDP 2.0) Java Games with the facility to download more.
The Nokia 6260 Slide supports GPS alongside Nokia Maps, possibly even rendering your TomTom obsolete, and ensuring you will be able to get wherever you are going.
For the music lover – there is MP3, M4A, AAC, eAAC and the handset has WMA player installed.
Voice command has arrived, which includes voice dial – a most useful feature for drivers who like to talk at the same time and still be legal.
For the texting fan – this phone also has T9. Irritating when you first encounter it, T9 is a boon for speeding up texting once you know how the phone thinks and are conversant with the in house dictionary or have educated it to your level.
Nokia always manages to produce a phone for reasonable cost with fine features which also lasts well on the battery supplied. This handset is no different. The Nokia 6260 Slide has a standard 950mAp (BL-5F) Li-Ion battery.
Talk time on 2G is up to 6 hours, on 3G this comes down to 3 hours. Standby time is fairly impressive at 400h on 2G and 288 when using 3G. Music play back time is max 20 hours – more than enough for most people.
We felt that more themes and downloadable programmes could have been made available for use with this phone, but Nokia provides the browser as open source – perhaps 3rd party development of additional apps and themes will not take long.
We did like the speed of the software used by this handset, it is a very practical and economically priced phone with all the features we felt we required. The graphics are superb, as is the camera.
Difficult times needs practical measures and if you’re planning on getting a mobilephone, its best to get it online. You can save money by just getting a mobile phone deals with free gifts and line rental and there’s even a free Nokia 6260 mobile phone contract deal in almost every UK online shop.
