EIKI 16mm projector telecine conversion part 6

Hello, this a step by step presentation on how to turn a EIKI SL2 into a telecine projector, by replacing the 2 blade shutter with a 5 blade shutter which I bought from filmvendor on ebay (not affiliated) for $45. You should first download and print manual from www.film-tech.com between this general presentation and the manual you should be able to turn into telecine projector. Use page 26 fig#28 to align shutter correctly, it took me several attempts, but you should tighten shutter blade screws all the way to the left. You will need a good Phillips head screwdriver. Most 16mm film is starting to disintegrate do your part to preserve it. I used a Lumix GH1 to copy film to JPEG format. Follow the instructions in order, but mainly use the manual instructions and keep the screws organized. Good luck and look to my website in the coming months for 16mm filming tips using vintage 16mm cameras and lenses and free manuals. www.16mmpro.com
